Equipment Guidelines: We want this event to be accessible and enjoyable for all, so we have a relaxed approach to equipment. Lifters are welcome to use straps, gloves, belts, suits, or any other gear they prefer. We also permit any opener weight, starting from as low as 10lbs, up to what they are comfortable with.

Deadlift Form and Technique Requirements:

  • Lifters must begin the lift within 1 minute of the bar being loaded.
  • They must maintain their grip on the bar from start to finish.
  • Deadlift commands are simple, with just one command: "Down," signaled by the front judge lowering their arm.
  • We will be using a Rogue Deadlift bar for the event.
  • Each lifter has three attempts, and openers can be adjusted if the first lift is missed.

Selecting Appropriate Openers: We recommend starting with your last warm-up weight or around 70-77% of your goal weight to ensure a successful opener.

Event Schedule:

  • Check-ins begin at 9:00 AM, where lifters will provide their opening attempt.
  • A lifter's briefing will follow at 9:30 AM.
  • Warm-ups will commence shortly after the briefing.
  • The lifting competition will officially start at 10:00 AM.
  • We will have three judges to ensure fair and accurate judging.

Volunteer Opportunities: We invite you to participate further by volunteering as a loader or spotter during the event. Your support would greatly enhance the experience for all involved.
