CENTERSTAGE PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY

CLUB ABLE 2B ME
Club Able 2B Me is the social arm of the Special Needs Sports Foundation. They have bingo every Thursday 6-8pm at Northfield Church. They host many other social events and recreational activities. The City of Hendersonville Parks Department offers the Kids Club Summer Camp for children with disabilities.
IChildren must bring snacks, drinks, and lunch daily. Preregistration is in April and occurs in person at the parks office only.

LONG HOLLOW BAPTIST CHURCH
Long hollow offers several opportunities to individuals with special needs and their families.
Buddy program- a buddy can help a child with special needs in a typical class for the purpose of inclusion with peers.
Sensory services- individuals can be provided with headphones or sensory items when needed. Specialized Sensory Room classrooms are available for all ages of students during 9:30 am and 11:15 am services at the Hendersonville campus. The ratios are smaller and the curriculum is modified. Sensory-specific activities are offered.
Group for Moms with special needs children- this open group meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. It is in person in room 222 or online through zoom. More info here.

MARY'S MAGICAL PLACE
Mary's Magical Place is an all-inclusive playground built in memory of Mary Elizabeth McAuley.
Some of the features include a roller slide, a wheelchair swing, and a seesaw. It is located in Hendersonville off Vietnam Veterans Blvd Exit #7.

MIRACLE PARK
Miracle Park is located within Triple Creek Park in Gallatin and features nearly 6 acres of recreation specifically designed for those with mobility impairments, special needs, and the community as a whole. It has a special ball field where Miracle League games are held.

MONTHAVEN ARTS & CULTURAL CENTER
Monthaven's Healing Arts Program offers movement and music classes built on the principles of Autism Movement Therapy, Drama Therapy, and the Melillo Method. This course is led by Rae Balmuth MA, RDT, a seasoned movement instructor, arts-based life coach, and former ABA therapist. Classes offered are: Creative Movement for Special Needs (ages 7-12, 13-18), Creative Expression for Personal Growth (ages 12-17, 18-25), and Mixed Media for Kids with High Sensory Needs (ages 7+).
