About the event
Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we honor the people making a profound difference in the lives of those with disabilities in Sumner County with awards to six local people and organizations. There will also be a silent auction including some amazing items. Lunch will be provided by Puckett's Restaurant. Proceeds from the event will go towards our programming. The Sumner County Special Needs Collaborative has three main programs:
Information Connections- Regional Special Needs Expo, Local Resource Directory online and in print, Autism Awareness Event
School Connections- SPED team party giveaway, school board candidate interviews, policy research
Caregiver Connections- a NEW program in 2025 aimed at taking care of those who care for others via caregiver retreats
