Lorraine Looney
Lorraine Looney and her husband live in Gallatin and have three children, including one sweet boy who is neurodivergent and has had medically complex needs.
Lorraine started the Sumner County Special Needs Collaborative in 2020 after noticing the need for an organization that would provide information, support, and local advocacy. Lorraine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who practices as a psychotherapist.
Secretary
Leah Burgess
Leah & her husband live in Sumner Co. Leah is an Educational Consultant and serves as Secretary on our board. Leah received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Her previous work history has focused on serving individuals with Severe Mental Health, Intellectual, and Developmental disabilities. She has worked with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to ensure that adults and youth with disabilities receive Supported Employment Services. Through working with VR, she has focused on transition-age youth and provided services in the classroom and individual settings.
Web Development
Rose Wyrick
Originally from Nashville, Rose & her husband and family now live in Hendersonville. She has 2 daughters and a grandson, who has severe autism.
Rose joined our board with a strong passion to help our special needs Sumner County community. She is responsible for our website development and communications.
